Nadim + Lila :: Anniversary

This day was full of surprises for Brooke and I -we were shooting outside of town, in an area neither of us was familiar with…photographing a couple neither of us had met, who had their 2 beauuuutiful little boys in tow ( yes, we were a bit scared, nope…they didn’t act like our kiddos. They were quiet little angels)! We drove around for an hour or so before the shoot, scouting locations we couldn’t seem to find anywhere. Untilllll…..we pulled onto a sideroad and noticed a beautiful piece of property which just so happened to belong to the guy across the street. Lucky for us, he was more than willing to let us shoot there, and even better – Lila and Nadim showed up and were amazing. He clearly adores her, and honestly, how could he not?! Lila…you are are genuine and sweet and so very full of happiness, we couldn’t help but adore you as well.

Hope you love the images as much as we do!

Mish and Brooke.

we can still hear Lila’s fabulous giggle.  it is infectious.

Ryan + Ashley :: Wedding Day

You may remember Ryan + Ashley from their super fabulous engaged session…here and here.

The moment we met these two, we just knew that we were about to take part in something special.  Ryan + Ashley were married under an arch custom built by the Ashley’s brother.  Seriously?  Yup.  To say it was incredible would be an understatement!  It was pre-made and later assembled in place…best of all, it will now be a part of their backyard.  How amazing is that?

The day was perfection…of course, perfection never comes without fun little mishaps.   Rings are always a good thing to bring along for the the ceremony!  hehe.  Speaking of the ceremony…we simply loved how personal it was to them and was truly a wonderful example of being “you” on your wedding day.  Of course the rest of the day was nothing short of spectacular.  We will let the images do the talking…

enjoy.

Dew + Jessica :: Married

Well, Brooke and I had yet another wonderful wedding we felt very fortunate to have photographed. Jessica’s family owns our fave shop in town, ” Vintage and Vogue”, so as you can imagine there were great finds everywhere we looked. Mason jars, handpainted signs, wildflowers, paper cranes, mismatched pillows, a photo booth ( this was a first for us, and we LOVED it)! There were even mini donuts, cotton candy, dilly bars and a fry truck. Ummmm….hello! Talk about a fun wedding!!!  Jess’ dress was vintage of course,  picked up by the bride’s sister in San Fransico and she looked stunning in it. Every detail was beautiful, the weather perfect, the food delish… and most of all Jess and Dew were amazing.

A big huge thanks to you both for having us be a part of your day – and for those of you interested in Jess’ first session with White Linen, click here to see her boudoir session…..a fave for sure.

Hugs,

Michele and Brooke

Jess, you looked amazing.The rings were perfect. The bouquet? Handmade by a family friend  out of vintage brooches. Wowza!Great idea…these chalkboards were painted by Jessica’s sister for their thank-you cards.Jess and Dew had such a lovely ceremony – the most relaxed we’ve been to. Beautiful.Did I forget to mention there were moustaches?! Love it!And a fun one for us to remember what a fab time we had……dontcha just love playing dress up?! Shane + Sarah :: Engaged

A beautiful session for a very beautiful couple. Sarah and Shane will be married this September, and it is a wedding both Brooke and I are truly excited about; their attention to detail is nothing short of fabulous…..when I saw Sarah’s dress and Shane’s blazer and his Pa’s hat – to say I was inspired is an understatement. Only one setback happened on this shoot – Brooke was unable to make it, and we were bombarded with rain and a very stormy sky.  Solution….. outrun the rain, of course!  A 45 minute drive later and we found ourselves in this stunning field Brooke and I had spotted during a drive to Vancouver. It couldn’t have turned out better……even with the rain:)

Sarah and Shane….thank you for being so patient with me; and especially for being so sweet – it was easy to capture the real “you’s”!

Michele

Yup, I know…..paper envy, right – AND it’s letter pressed. Yum oh yum. NOW do you understand why we’re excited about the wedding?! These delightful invites were designed through Golden Rectangle Press.

Angela Waterberg - So Cute! Seriously, who wouldn’t want their engagement photos to look like this ?!?! :)

Lindsaygee@gmail.com - euw…i didn’t mean to leave my email addy in the ‘name’… that’s creepy and wrong! haha.

Lindsaygee@gmail.com - gosh this girl is cute. who is she? I have a crush on her hair!

Reb - Love these! And their wedding invitation rules!

devon - umm wow! love love love, the flowers, her dress..adorable :)

s h e r r y - What is that amazing field with flowers?! Wish we had one similar to that in Vancouver!

Becky - Love how that first location and their outfits totally go with their invites! That second shot gives me location envy…mountains trump the praries! lol.
