Its been said a million times…we adore what we do. Probably a little too much!

And we do it all with part-time ‘time’ while running a full-time business. The behind the scenes is pure organized chaos.

Seven kids between us…one of which is only 5 months and giving her mama quite the hard time. One puppy in training (a crate, the worlds best invention). School pick ups, drop offs, sports, dinners, lunches, two hard working husbands putting up with all our crazy. Michele doing an incredible job keeping up with her 100 days of fitness…me wishing I had her drive to do the same, but living vicariously through her at the moment. Keeping somewhat clean houses and happy little people. Yup, organized chaos.

Maybe its time to set up a nanny cam…so everyone can get a good chuckle at what a day in our life really looks like. We can only imagine how many can relate! So, to those fellow photogs out there trying to juggle kids, a spouse and all those late nights of work most people don’t even know you’re up doing….well, kudos to you, because it is tough. And for all the “single” ones….how we envy you. Don’t get us wrong; neither one of us would trade spots with anyone, but to be given the chance to find what you love, and what you are great at while having less responsibilities and much more time – oohhhhh……I can just about taste it. To have one full day and night to ourselves to do nothing but work in silence. Seriously, it is something we dream about, and it has yet to happen in the 5 years we’ve known each other. Oh well, the journey will take us longer for sure, but the successes will be that much sweeter!

Good thing we love this job a little too much. Its about all that keeps us sane.

Another litte peek into the sort of things that not only inspire us, but has us counting down the days until wedding season 2012 begins! Seeing as I am a true Island girl at heart (Vancouver Island, that is) it’s only fitting that this wedding look be at the top of our list. Mossy greens, ivory, mochas….birch bark candles, moss covered table runners, driftwood, lanterns….we could go on and on…

Girltime | The Un-Perfect

One of the reasons Brooke and I are ( somewhat) able to keep on top of things with all the kiddos, is to switch off once a week….that way we each have an extra few hours to get stuff done. Friday is typically my day with the girls, and we usually rent a movie, pop some corn and try to keep the peace. haha. We made it extra special last week and pulled up the teepee. I’m thinkin’ they had fun.

Oh, for the record….we are aware that this installment of ” The Un-Perfect” is anything but. Couldn’t be more perfect!

These two have the most beautiful friendship. In the short amount of time that we had them in front of our camera, it was so clear that they adored each other as only best friends can. We completely want photos like this of our own. hehe. You two are beautiful. BEAUTIFUL!

For those who dont know, we will let you in on a little secret. Tara, is a local photographer…you can find here fabulous work here. We adore her work and are so thrilled to have found a local friend who shares in our passion for photography. You are fabulous and having you in front of our cameras was such a lovely, smiley, happy, memorable experience.

Its rare, but some days we can bribe them into being our after-school test models. They are no longer our easy little camera loving kids and truly prefer bringing the crazy when it comes to getting in front of the camera. Not exactly what we were going for at the time…but you have gotta appreciate kids with character, and these two are full of it!

If you have any Un-Perfect requests…we would love to hear them and add to our list. We are keepin’ it real. Well…maybe mildly censored. hehe.
