This boy is my hilarious, strong…yet sensitive little man.  He runs and thinks with his tongue out, loves hard, and his wee heart breaks easily.  He is obsessed with sports, sports highlights, sasquatches and sharks.  Lately he is not a camera fan, he happily displays this is many photos…note the running away.  Oh and soley because I SWEAR he wants to drive me crazy…he insists he will be a single man his whole life.  Why?  Well, according to Si ‘woman and kids are simply too much work’.  Cant say he is wrong.  hehe.

Yup, he is going to be quite the charmer.

**Gotta love having an empty lot next door just begging to have us run around on it.  Thank you neighbors for keeping this space free for me.  hehehe.  Its amazing what you can accomplish in 10 minutes.**

I cannot speak for both of us, so I wont.  However, I might just a little.  ha.  These past few months have been a little bonkers.  Life seems to be moving at rapid speed and I am grasping onto those ‘what if’s’.  What if I feel like I missed too much?  What if I didnt teach my kids enough?  What if I spend too many hours on the computer?  Thats the short list, the long list would take days to write out.  Drama.  So, a few months back I was thinking of people who I would like to spend my days like…people who just seem to love every minute of everything and I reached out to many friends.  I am so thankful for their feedback and love…seriously.  It felt good to say I didnt have it figured out.  I struggle.  I feel overwhelmed, stressed, confused.  Then I fell upon Tara Whitney’s blog.  The woman who I was SURE had it all together…only to find out, she was feeling much the same.

Now don’t get me wrong, I have a great life.  I have fabulous kids.  My husband is wonderful to me, I mean…the guy cooks, cleans…listens to me whine.  So why am I just not feelin’ it?

Then I woke up and thought.  Am I spending my time the way I want to?  Quick answer.  NO.  So, I zipped over to see how Tara was making out and came across her more recent post.  You can find it here.  She did it.  So, I figure I can to.  Yes this totally makes me feel like that random internet stalker…but I dont care.  Who knows if anyone will even take the time to read this…I mean really?  I am rambling.  I have suddenly made this blog my personal diary.  ha.  Sorry Mish.  hehe.  So, now I type this while kicking myself.  I know its all there but I am doing NOTHING with it.  Just nestling back into my ways and knowing full well that I will be feeling much the same two months down the road.  So, here it is, its time to put me first.  And I am demanding the same of my lovely business partner…(She doesnt even know it yet and is only finding out while she proofs this).  Its time to step back and fall back in love with our lives.  Be the Mommy’s at the park who are present.  Take time to read a book (I have been trying for a month…and I am still only 2 chapters in…sigh).  Heck I am going to make a list of the things I want to do and then…really do them.

Now, dont panic.  We are beyond excited about the fabulous weddings we have ahead of us this year.  On top of that, we have some rockin’ sessions that we cannot wait for, especially now that the sun is shining.  We are just going to be taking a wee step back to spend time with the kids, the husbands, ourselves.  Maybe have a lunch together that doesnt include a business meeting!  We are still here, still working.  I am just going to be hiding out a little more and hopefully when I am fully back and out of hiding…I am going to feel a whole lot better.  I have to say, this past week I have spent far less time worrying about things like facebook and far more time having fun with the little ones.  I already feel so much better about my days.  Yay!

Speaking of feeling better.  These make me smile.  They were taken right outside our house, just as she is.  In one of her favorite new outfits, while playing mama to her baby.  They were set to be test shots as my camera just returned from receiving some love…and then voila…that 10 minutes turned into this.  They were edited a little outside our usual…but really were just left to be as they are.  Hard to believe this is my baby who hated the camera.  She will be FOUR next month.  Ouch.

Toby was a gem.  He had a good nap, but really loved looking around and taking in the world.  Complete sweetness this little man, we could have had him in the studio all day!  Big thanks to Toby’s mama for allowing us to maul him for the morning.  He is simply precious.

As I packed her up, my little miss asked…”so who will take my picture”?  Um, what?  ha.  Kids are too funny.  Half the time its a battle and now she is begging for it.  So, out of the box she came…and something about these, I am just in love with.  Maybe its the fact that they are simply so her.  She makes me giggle this one.  She asked to go outside yesterday, in the turtle pool…so she grabbed her bathing suit to prove to me that she could brave the cold.  It was sunny and 14.  But really child?  It was still hat weather!  Ah yes, I have a spirited one on my hands.  I am pretty sure, she has a LOT to teach me.

*so these are the complete opposite of ‘un-perfect’…ha.*

So this morning I took 2 minutes to grab a few photos of the kids in support of this day…it was hardly even light yet.  Even if you have never been a victim yourself, guaranteed you know someone who has.  Bullying comes in too many forms to count and truly, none of them are acceptable. And if you’re looking for a little extra bit of motivational “goodness”, you should check out this website on teaching children virtues. Basically you have this stack of virtues cards and you can choose one virtue to focus on each week with your children…examples are kindness, generosity,cooperation, patience ( I know I could use this one) to name a few. There are tips on using and teaching these in your everyday -  Mish heard about it from a friend and it’s the kind of thing we think could spread a lot of..well, goodness.
